Don Millis joined the WE International Board of Directors in 2013 and became its President and CEO on a volunteer basis in 2022. Don—shown above speaking to a group of WE Empower recipients in the eastern Ugandan village of Lunyo in 2025—earned an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Don has worked in both government and in private practice for more than 45 years. Aside from his role with WE International, Don continues to practice law on a part-time basis and currently serves as the chair of the Wisconsin Elections Commission. Don’s passion is to involve Christians in America with efforts to show the love of Christ to Ugandans and others in the developing world.
