Janessa is the newest Board Member, joining in 2026. Janessa first got involved with WE International in 2020 when she worked as the administrative assistant in the Madison, Wisconsin, office. After finishing her Master’s Degree in Social Work, she left to pursue her career in the mental health field, while still keeping in touch and volunteering with WE International. She’s had the privilege of visiting our Ugandan friends, staff, and program participants during trips in February 2024, August 2024, and July 2025, and cherishes the memories and friendships made. (The photo to the left was taken during Janessa’s visit to the WE Restore Home in 2024.) She currently works as a psychotherapist specializing in trauma healing. Janessa is excited to serve on the WE International Board and share in its mission to provide support to vulnerable women, children, and families in Uganda through Christ’s love.
