Telling Our Story

Number 11 on the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 greatest movie quotations was uttered by actor Strother Martin in the Paul Newman movie, “Cool Hand Luke”:

“What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate”

Unless you see the movie, it is hard to understand why this quote ranks so high. However, this quote is often true. Many organizations–including WE International–could do a better job of communicating.

A Story TO Tell

WE International has a great story to tell. God is working through our Ugandan Team to change the lives of the most vulnerable women, children and families in eastern Uganda. We attempt to tell this story in different ways, but there is room for improvement.

This means doing a better job of sharing our story with all of our current supporters, like you, and with any potential future partners or supporters. Improved digital technology and the prevalence of social media creates opportunities to reach more people using more and varied media.

WE International is committed to taking advantage of these opportunities.

To this end a major focus of our upcoming trip to Uganda is to better equip the Ugandan Team to utilize video, images, and data to tell the stories of the women, children and families they serve.

Pictured at the top of the post is the team traveling to Uganda which includes three professionals, Isaiah Kazarovich, David Yeazel and Butch Soetenga. Each one of these professionals brings unique experience, expertise and skills that will help us better tell our story.

Follow Us for Updates

There are a lot of important tasks for us to do during this upcoming trip. We will tell you more about these in the weeks ahead.

One of the best ways to keep up with WE International is through our social media, on Facebook or Instagram.

We would also love to give a special shoutout to Door Creek Church for their support in defraying some of the cost of this trip.
