Some of you may remember Ringo Starr singing the refrain, “I get a by with a little help from my friends”, one of the few times he sang the lead on a Beatles song.
In any case, WE International gets by with a lot of help from our friends. Of course, many of our friends are those of you reading this email who support WE International through your generous contributions.
WE International also gets by with a little help from other like-minded organizations. This week, a team from Marathon Missions International–an interdenominational nonprofit headquartered in Sevierville, Tennessee–is working with our WE International Uganda staff on Buvuma Island. The Marathon Missions team will be hosting mentorship events, as well as a pop-up medical clinic, for the residents of Buvuma Island.
The Marathon Missions International team also stopped by the WE Restore Home to share inspirational messages with the teens and young women working to get their lives back on track.
